here's my concern: the basement is really moist, right. even with the dehumidifier running it's like a little awmpy down there...so what if this so-called water bug feeds off water and grown and grows into some simpsons-three-eyed-fish type scenario? ack! in teh words of cmu: shudder. shudder.
on the plus side, we have never seen it again and i did four loads of laundry this weekend which officially makes me very very very very very brave.
ps. spangley killed a goldfinch. we had a burial this morning. i have pics for you j.

I grew up with those. they're disgusting. one time in college my old boyfriend and I toppled a bookshelf onto one to kill it... & it didn't die!!!

i would move. that's what i would do. just let the waterbugs have the house
