yeah, it's cute how he holds his hands like that! but then ever-so-slightly less cute when you finally pry them open and his palms are dirty. ack. what dirty people we are.
but it's cute dirt, right? I mean, if he were a full grown man (with a beard, say, and a big belly, sort of like what's-his-face in The Sound and the Fury, or that oneguy in Mice and Men) it would be vile. But a little baby named Elijah, well, that's just different!! (But yes, we are dirty dirty people).
